Oregon, IL – Authorities are investigating after a deceased person was discovered Friday morning in rural Ogle County.

According to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at approximately 9:59 a.m. to the 4000 block of East Illinois Route 64 in Oregon. As of 2:43 p.m., investigators remained on the scene. No further details about the deceased individual or the circumstances surrounding the discovery have been released.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not indicated if foul play is suspected.
