Deadly Shooting in Wilmington: Delaware State Police Investigating Homicide

Wilmington, DE – A 19-year-old man died after being shot Wednesday afternoon in Wilmington. The Delaware State Police are investigating the fatal incident.

Troopers responded to East Lea Boulevard near Philadelphia Pike at 4:29 p.m. after reports of gunfire. They found the victim with a severe gunshot wound and provided medical aid. Paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. His name remains undisclosed until police notify his family.

Investigators believe the victim was walking to a residence when an unknown suspect shot him. Authorities have not released a suspect description.
