Baltimore, MD – The Baltimore-Washington region will see a brief chance of showers Monday before a stretch of dry, fall-like weather arrives midweek.
According to the US National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington, high pressure over the region today will strengthen as another system builds from eastern Canada through much of the week. While most areas remain dry, some light rain or showers linked to Tropical Depression 9 could reach parts of south-central and eastern Virginia Monday afternoon through early Tuesday.
Forecasters say the system’s influence will fade quickly, with dry conditions returning for the remainder of the week. Temperatures will warm again Monday before dropping to more seasonable levels Tuesday and Wednesday. Fall-like conditions are expected to take hold Thursday through the weekend, bringing cooler nights and comfortable afternoons.
Low temperatures Monday morning will range from the mid-50s in western Maryland and the Shenandoah Valley to the mid-60s near Baltimore, Washington, and southern Maryland. High pressure will keep skies clear and humidity low after Tuesday.
Residents across Maryland, Virginia, and the D.C. metro area should prepare for a week of shifting conditions: warm and slightly unsettled early on, transitioning to crisp, fall-like weather by Thursday.
