Baltimore, MD – Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. through the end of the week, according to the National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington office. The heaviest rain and storm chances are expected Thursday as a cold front moves through the region.
According to forecasters, today (Wednesday) brings muggy conditions with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. Temperatures will range from 76–87 degrees in urban and bay areas, with cooler highs of 65–74 degrees in the mountains.
On Thursday, widespread showers and thunderstorms are likely, with temperatures staying warm in the mid-70s to low 80s. Forecasters note this will be the week’s highest risk for heavy rainfall and storm activity.
By Friday, scattered showers will remain, but conditions are expected to improve late in the day as drier air moves into the region from the northwest. Highs will again reach the upper 70s in lower elevations and mid-60s in the mountains.
The weekend outlook calls for clearer skies and more stable weather, offering a break from the unsettled conditions earlier in the week.
Residents are urged to monitor weather alerts and use caution during commutes, as sudden downpours could cause reduced visibility and localized flooding.
