Wilmington, OH – Snowflakes will begin to mix into parts of Ohio this evening, bringing the state’s first measurable accumulation of the season. According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, 1 to 2 inches of snow are expected across west-central Ohio tonight through Monday morning.

Forecasters say snow will develop and become more widespread overnight, with the heaviest accumulation likely in areas such as Dayton, Richmond, and Wilmington. Motorists are urged to use caution during the Monday morning commute as slick spots may form on untreated roads, bridges, and overpasses.

While the majority of the snowfall will stick to grassy or elevated surfaces, colder overnight temperatures could allow light accumulation on pavement, especially in west-central Ohio where precipitation will be more persistent.

Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and stay alert for changing road conditions. Additional light snow or flurries could linger into Monday afternoon before tapering off by evening.
