Nashville, TN – A 16-year-old is facing seven counts of aggravated robbery after Nashville police arrested him Wednesday in what investigators describe as a fast-moving takedown following a series of armed business hold-ups across Davidson County.

According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, the teen suspect was arrested shortly after he allegedly robbed Dragon Wireless at 1204 Murfreesboro Pike on Wednesday. Violent Crimes detectives, with help from the Canine and Aviation Units, located the suspect minutes after the latest incident and took him into custody.

Police said the juvenile allegedly admitted to being the gunman in all seven robberies tied to the ongoing investigation. The cases date back to October and include:

  • Family Dollar, 853 Bell Road, on October 24 and 25
  • The Escape Game, 162 3rd Avenue North, on October 23
  • Wireless Z, 5335 Charlotte Pike, on October 28
  • Super Mercado, 981 Murfreesboro Pike, on November 6
  • Subway, 769 Bell Road, on November 10

The suspect is charged in Juvenile Court with seven counts of aggravated robbery.

Police also tied an alleged accomplice, Marcellus Harris, 19, to the October 28 Wireless Z incident. According to investigators, Harris was arrested shortly after that robbery and was found carrying a stolen handgun. He is charged with robbery for allegedly acting in concert with Simpson, as well as theft of a firearm and resisting arrest. Harris remains in custody on $57,500 bond, police said.
