The impact caused the Versa to lose control, cross lanes, and collide with a second motorcycle, a Honda, ridden by a 20-year-old man from Georgia.
Police said Robins was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he later died. The second rider remains hospitalized at Vanderbilt with critical injuries. The driver of the Nissan was not reported injured.
