Davidson County, NC – A newly formed anti-drug task force in Davidson County has already made a major impact, announcing multiple arrests and the seizure of over $2 million worth of narcotics following a series of investigations and coordinated raids across the Triad.

According to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, the Davidson Anti-Drug Regional Task Force (DART) — a partnership between local police, sheriff’s offices, and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation — executed three major searches between November 25 and December 2, 2025.

Investigators say the task force first launched operations after uncovering a package of 22 pounds of methamphetamine shipped to Thomasville in 2024. The drugs carried an estimated street value of $176,000 and could have produced about 50,000 doses.

On November 25, 2025, DART executed a search warrant at a home on Butterfield Drive in Winston-Salem, reportedly finding five pounds of fentanyl and two firearms. Authorities said the fentanyl alone had a street value exceeding $2 million and could produce more than one million lethal doses.

A subsequent raid on December 1 at Wesley Chapel Road in Linwood uncovered four firearms, U.S. currency, and additional drug paraphernalia. A third search on December 2 at a Winston-Salem residence yielded more narcotics and firearms.

Three suspects were arrested in connection with the operation and face multiple narcotics and weapons charges. Their names and specific charges were not immediately released.

Authorities credited the collaboration between agencies — including Davidson County, Lexington, Thomasville, and the Forsyth County Drug Task Force — with the success of the investigation.
