Davidson County, NC – Two people were arrested after a regional task force drug raid in Lexington led to the seizure of cocaine, marijuana, and alprazolam. The operation took place Thursday, September 18, 2025, when investigators executed a search warrant at a home on Biesecker Road, according to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities reported that detectives recovered a distributable amount of crack cocaine along with marijuana and alprazolam during the search. As a result, two individuals were taken into custody and charged with multiple drug-related offenses.
According to deputies, charges include felony possession of cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, simple possession of controlled substances, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and manufacturing or distributing controlled substances within 1,000 feet of a school.
The Davidson Anti-Drug Regional Task Force (DART), which conducted the investigation, is a joint effort involving the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, Lexington Police Department, Thomasville Police Department, and the State Bureau of Investigation. Officials said the unit’s mission is to reduce drug trafficking, disrupt narcotics operations, and enhance community safety.
The National Institute on Drug Abuse reports that cocaine, including crack cocaine, was linked to more than 23,500 overdose deaths nationwide in 2022. Law enforcement agencies say seizures like this help limit the supply of dangerous substances in local communities.
