Davenport, IA – Isolated flurries and breezy conditions could create minor slick spots across eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois this weekend, especially along Interstate 80 and Interstate 74.

According to the US National Weather Service Quad Cities, temperatures closer to seasonal late February averages are expected through the weekend and into early next week. Aside from occasional flurries today and tonight, mainly dry weather is forecast.

Saturday highs are expected between 23 and 33 degrees, with breezy conditions developing. Overnight lows will fall into the 10 to 15 degree range. Sunday will be windy and colder, with highs between 19 and 26 degrees and nighttime lows dipping into the single digits and lower teens.

By Monday, highs will range from 20 to 29 degrees before moderating into the upper 30s and 40s by Tuesday.

While snowfall accumulations are not expected, brief flurries may coat untreated surfaces, particularly on bridges and overpasses along I-80 near Davenport, I-74 near Moline, and US-61 toward Dubuque.

Wind chills may make it feel colder during morning and evening hours, especially for commuters and students waiting outdoors.

Drivers should remain alert for isolated slick stretches, particularly late tonight when temperatures fall into the teens.

Overall impacts are expected to remain minimal, with no significant winter weather systems currently forecast for the Quad Cities region through early next week.

Residents are encouraged to monitor forecast updates for any changes.
