Davenport, Iowa – Unseasonably mild conditions are expected to continue across Davenport and the Quad Cities through Christmas week, with daytime highs climbing into the 50s and 60s, especially south of Interstate 80.
According to the National Weather Service Quad Cities, highs today range from 37 to 47 degrees, warming to 42 to 52 degrees Tuesday. By Wednesday, temperatures rise further, with highs between 41 and 60 degrees, accompanied by possible drizzle late in the day.
Christmas Day is expected to be the warmest of the week, with Davenport-area highs forecast between 46 and 67 degrees, depending on location. Southern areas closer to and south of I-80 are more likely to reach the upper 60s, while locations north of the interstate remain cooler, generally in the mid-40s to upper 40s.
Forecasters note that skies will remain rather cloudy throughout the week, with fog and drizzle possible Thursday, particularly during the morning and evening hours. Despite the warmth, no significant precipitation is expected.
Friday remains mild and seasonably pleasant, with highs ranging from 46 to 58 degrees, continuing the above-normal temperature trend for the first full week of winter.
The wide temperature range may impact holiday travelers, commuters, and outdoor plans, especially for those crossing north–south across the region where conditions vary more sharply.
Residents are encouraged to monitor visibility during fog-prone periods later in the week.
