Scott County, Iowa – A deadly pedestrian crash in Blue Grass has taken a major turn after investigators arrested the driver accused in the March 9 collision.

According to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, deputies identified the driver of a red 2014 Jeep Cherokee as Carri Neff of Davenport. Authorities confirmed Neff was taken into custody and booked into the Scott County Jail as evidence continued to develop in the case.

Investigators filed multiple charges, including homicide by vehicle while operating under the influence and reckless OWI causing death. Additional charges include possession of a controlled substance, two counts of reckless driving, speeding, use of an electronic communication device while driving, failure to maintain control, and a traffic control device violation.

The crash happened in Blue Grass and resulted in a pedestrian fatality, though officials have not yet released further details about the victim or the exact sequence of events leading up to the collision. Deputies continue to review evidence and piece together a timeline.
