Darlington, SC – Four individuals were taken into custody Thursday after a multi-agency drug search on Rio Drive in Darlington uncovered cocaine, marijuana, fentanyl and ammunition, according to the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office.

According to officials, the Darlington County Combined Drug Unit and the Special Incident Response Team executed a search warrant December 4 on the 400 block of Rio Drive. Deputies from Darlington County and officers from Hartsville Police assisted in the operation.

During the search, investigators allegedly recovered 1.14 grams of cocaine, marijuana, a quantity of pills, and numerous boxes of ammunition. Sheriff Michael August said Brad Britt, Jonathan Wilson, Candace Humphries, and Lisa Hopkins were arrested at the scene.

According to the sheriff’s office, Britt was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, simple possession of marijuana, possession of fentanyl, and possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person convicted of certain crimes. Wilson was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and simple possession of marijuana.

Humphries was also charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and simple possession of marijuana. Hopkins faces charges including simple possession of marijuana, possession of a Schedule III narcotic, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and possession of fentanyl.

A Darlington County magistrate held a bond hearing Friday morning. Hopkins received a cash or surety bond totaling $32,615, while Humphries and Wilson each received bonds totaling $25,615. Britt’s total bond was set at $40,615.
