Greenville, OH – A two-vehicle crash closed State Route 118 for more than two hours Saturday morning after a FedEx delivery truck overturned near Greenville, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies and Greenville fire crews responded around 11:24 a.m. November 1 to the intersection of State Route 118 and Horatio-Harris Creek Road. Preliminary findings show that a 2015 Chevy Cruze, driven by Kenneth Reitzel, 29, of South Vienna, allegedly failed to stop at a posted sign before entering the intersection.
The Cruze struck a northbound 2019 Ford E-450 FedEx truck driven by Cameron Hawn, 22, of Riverside, officials said. The impact caused the delivery truck to veer off the road and overturn in a ditch.
Reitzel, his passenger Sydnie Williams-Mankey, 28, and Hawn were treated and released from the scene by medical personnel. Deputies cited Reitzel for failure to stop at a clearly marked stop sign.
Traffic on State Route 118 north of Horatio-Harris Creek Road was shut down for cleanup and investigation for over two hours before reopening.
