DANVILLE, IL – The Danville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the rightful owner of a large baseball card collection recovered during a 2022 burglary investigation.
According to police, the collection was found and secured as evidence, but despite extensive efforts, investigators have been unable to locate the owner.
Officials say the cards were stored in a very specific and distinctive manner, which could help confirm ownership.
Anyone who believes the collection might belong to them — and can accurately describe both the cards and how they were stored — is urged to contact the Danville Police Department Evidence Office at 217-431-2866.
