Danville, IL – Police Arrest Armed Teen After Reported Car Break-In Attempt

Danville police arrested a 17-year-old boy after responding to a reported car break-in on Wednesday night. Officers stopped two juveniles in Holiday Hills after a 911 caller reported suspicious activity.

Police say the incident happened around 10:15 p.m. in the 900 block of Timberline Drive. When officers arrived, they found two juveniles matching the caller’s description. During their investigation, they allegedly discovered that one of the teens had a loaded firearm.

Officers arrested the 17-year-old and transported him to the Vermilion County Juvenile Detention Center. He faces charges of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon and remains in custody until his court hearing.
