According to the Danville Police Department, officers were called to Snapper’s Bar & Grill, located at 332 E. Liberty Lane, around 5:10 a.m. on Aug. 18 after a burglary had just occurred. Detectives began investigating and identified the suspect as David Finley of Oakwood, Illinois.
Authorities said a warrant for Finley’s arrest was issued on Aug. 22. On Friday, Aug. 29, at approximately 2:07 p.m., the Oakwood Police Department located Finley. Police said he allegedly tried to flee on foot from officers but was taken into custody a short time later.
Finley was transported to the Vermilion County Jail, where he was booked on the warrant along with charges of obstructing and resisting a police officer.
