Dangerous Waves Expected on Lake Michigan Tuesday and Wednesday

Grand Rapids, MI – Swimmers and beachgoers are urged to exercise extreme caution as dangerous waves are forecasted for Lake Michigan from Tuesday morning through Wednesday afternoon. The National Weather Service predicts wave heights of 3 to 6 feet, particularly affecting south-facing beaches and piers.

According to weather officials, strong south to southwest winds at 15-20 mph will contribute to hazardous swimming conditions. The warning applies to beaches from Holland to Manistee, emphasizing the need for vigilance and adherence to safety advisories during this time.
