Paducah, KY – Scattered thunderstorms are forecasted to impact Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, and Indiana on Wednesday, with potential for severe weather conditions. The National Weather Service in Paducah, KY, has issued a warning for late Wednesday afternoon through the night.

According to the National Weather Service, isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms could produce damaging winds and heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash flooding. The most affected areas will be in southern Illinois, western Kentucky, and parts of southeastern Missouri and southwestern Indiana. The severe weather risk is classified as slight (level 2 of 5) for most of the Quad State region, with a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) in the surrounding areas.

Residents are advised to stay updated on weather conditions and prepare for possible power outages and flash floods. Secure outdoor objects that could become projectiles in high winds and avoid travel during heavy rain due to reduced visibility and potential hydroplaning.
