According to the NOAA, the severe weather threat will persist throughout the afternoon, affecting states from Pennsylvania to New York and extending into parts of New England. The storm system is anticipated to bring heavy rainfall, strong gusts, and potential hailstones, posing risks to property and safety.

The alert also extends to parts of the Midwest, including sections of Indiana and Ohio. Residents are advised to stay updated on local weather forecasts and take necessary precautions to protect themselves and their properties. The severe weather system is moving eastward, with peak intensity expected later this afternoon and evening.

Additionally, portions of Montana are forecasted to experience severe thunderstorms later in the day. The NOAA warns of potential hazardous conditions, including strong winds and large hail, similar to those predicted in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
