Dallas, Texas – Cold overnight temperatures are affecting the Dallas–Fort Worth area early Tuesday, followed by a rapid warming trend expected through the remainder of the week, according to the National Weather Service.

As of early Tuesday morning, conditions at Dallas Love Field showed clear skies with a temperature of 33 degrees. Light winds allowed temperatures to fall efficiently overnight, with lows reaching near 30 degrees across parts of North Texas. While no precipitation is expected, freezing temperatures may affect early morning commuters and outdoor activity.

According to the National Weather Service forecast, Tuesday will be sunny with a high near 52 degrees as temperatures rebound quickly during the day. Winds are expected to remain light, limiting wind chill concerns once the sun rises. Clear skies return Tuesday night, with overnight lows falling to around 37 degrees.

A significant warmup begins Wednesday. Highs are forecast to reach near 66 degrees under sunny skies, followed by a mild Wednesday night with lows around 43 degrees. New Year’s Day continues the warming trend, with partly sunny conditions and highs near 69 degrees across the metro area.

By Thursday night, lows remain mild near 56 degrees, and Friday is expected to be the warmest day of the period. High temperatures are forecast to reach approximately 73 degrees under sunny skies, marking a sharp contrast from the freezing conditions earlier in the week. Dry weather is expected to continue through the weekend, with highs remaining in the upper 60s to low 70s.

The sharp temperature swings may impact commuters, students, and outdoor workers, especially during early morning hours when temperatures briefly fall near freezing. Residents are advised to dress in layers and remain mindful of colder conditions during overnight and early morning periods.

While no hazardous weather advisories are currently in effect, residents are encouraged to monitor weather.gov for updated forecasts as temperature trends continue to fluctuate across North Texas.
