Fort Worth, TX – Abnormally warm and quiet weather is expected to continue across North and Central Texas this weekend and into early next week, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth. Afternoon highs will stay in the upper 80s to mid-90s, with overnight lows mostly in the 60s.
According to forecasters, conditions will remain dry through Monday before a weak cold front pushes into the region on Tuesday. That front could bring a slight chance of rain, though rain probabilities remain low at only 10 to 20 percent.
North Texas is forecast to see highs ranging from 84 to 93 degrees Saturday through Tuesday, while Central Texas will remain in a similar range between 84 and 92 degrees. Sunshine will dominate through the weekend, with only a slight uptick in storm chances as the week begins.
The National Weather Service notes temperatures are running above normal for early October. While the front may briefly moderate conditions, no widespread rainfall or significant cooldown is expected at this time.
Residents are encouraged to plan for continued hot afternoons and limited rain, especially if traveling or spending time outdoors.
