Fort Worth, TX – Another round of storms is set to impact North and Central Texas today, bringing rain, hail, and gusty winds as a cold front slides south.

According to the National Weather Service Fort Worth, widespread showers and storms will move across the region Wednesday, Sept. 24, with the strongest activity expected from mid-morning through early afternoon. A few strong storms could develop, producing small hail, frequent lightning, and wind gusts.

Rainfall totals are forecast to range from 0.5 to 1.5 inches, but isolated areas in the southeast, including parts of Waco and Palestine, could see 3 or more inches. Officials warn drivers to be cautious of flooded roads and avoid travel during periods of heavy rain.

The storm system is expected to move through Graham, Dallas-Fort Worth, Canton, Waco, and Killeen before reaching southeast counties later in the day. The weather service has urged residents to prepare for hazardous travel conditions and remain alert for updated advisories.

This round of severe weather follows earlier September storms across Texas, continuing an unsettled pattern as fall begins.
