FORT WORTH, Texas – North and Central Texas are locked into a steady stretch of warm, dry fall weather, with highs hovering in the mid to upper 80s through the rest of the workweek. Light south to southeast winds and clear skies will keep conditions pleasant but unseasonably warm for mid-October.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Wednesday through Friday will feature mostly sunny skies, afternoon highs near 87–88°F, and overnight lows staying mild—generally in the upper 50s to upper 60s. The region’s warmth will be felt from Dallas–Fort Worth to Waco, Temple, Killeen, and Palestine, with little change in temperature day to day.

Humidity will stay moderate, and winds between 5–10 mph from the south will maintain a dry, stable air mass. The NWS says no rain chances are expected through Friday, but a weak front could approach the Red River Valley this weekend, bringing slightly cooler air and perhaps a few clouds by late Saturday.

Outdoor events, high school sports, and evening activities should enjoy ideal conditions this week. Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated, limit outdoor burning, and continue watering young plants as soil moisture remains low.
