Fort Worth, Texas – Light rain is expected to move into East and Central Texas late Tuesday night, with higher rainfall chances targeting areas from Waco to Palestine through Wednesday evening.
According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, scattered showers will begin overnight and persist intermittently during the day Wednesday. Rainfall amounts are expected to stay below half an inch, with the heaviest totals likely in East Texas where rain probabilities reach up to 80%.
Drivers across the DFW Metroplex should anticipate damp roads during the Wednesday morning commute, though heavier rain will likely stay east of Interstate 35. Waco, Killeen, and Palestine may see several rounds of light rain, while areas west of Fort Worth—including Cisco and Graham—will have lower rain odds, near 20–40%.
No flooding is expected, but residents are advised to allow extra travel time and use headlights during low-visibility periods. With cooler ground temperatures and light accumulation, roads may become slick in spots, especially before sunrise.
The rain is expected to taper off by Wednesday evening, with no significant impacts forecast beyond midweek. Further updates may be issued if rainfall increases or if additional showers develop Thursday.
