Baltimore, Maryland – Lingering clouds and pockets of light rain are likely to affect central Virginia through Tuesday afternoon, creating damp conditions for drivers along I-95 and nearby routes. Elsewhere across the Mid-Atlantic, skies will stay mostly cloudy, with limited sun and unseasonably mild temperatures topping out in the upper 70s to low 80s.

According to the National Weather Service in Baltimore/Washington, increased cloud cover will dominate from the D.C. metro to north-central Maryland, with partly sunny breaks west of the Alleghenies. A chance of scattered showers could reappear late Wednesday into Thursday, especially across southern and western portions of Virginia and Maryland.

Cities like Charlottesville and Fredericksburg may see brief rainfall today, while areas farther north—including Baltimore, Hagerstown, and D.C.—remain dry but dreary. Humidity will stay elevated, keeping overnight lows mild in the 60s to low 70s. No major severe threats are expected, but light rain may reduce visibility on commutes.

More widespread rainfall isn’t likely this week, but unsettled conditions may linger into Thursday before skies begin to clear by the weekend.
