Bourbonnais, IL – A local effort to preserve history is getting a tasty boost next month as the Kankakee County Museum teams up with Culver’s for a Share Night fundraiser on May 19.
According to the Kankakee County Museum, the event will run from 5 to 8 p.m. at Culver’s located at 983 Convent St. in Bourbonnais. A portion of all dine-in and carryout sales during that time will go directly toward critical roof repairs at the museum.
Museum officials say recent storm damage has left the roof in urgent need of replacement to safeguard the institution’s collection of artifacts and exhibits. The fundraiser will support renovation efforts to ensure the preservation of local history for future generations.
Every ButterBurger, order of fries, and scoop of custard purchased during the event will help the museum raise the funds necessary for the project. Organizers encourage the public to bring friends, enjoy a meal, and support the cause one bite at a time.
Residents can follow the museum’s social media pages for updates and details. Donations will also be accepted onsite for those who wish to contribute directly.
