Crown Point, IN – Local firefighters are calling on the community to help fight hunger this holiday season. The Crown Point Firefighters Association will host its annual Holiday Food Drive on Saturday, November 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

According to the Crown Point Fire Department, donation sites will be set up at three Crown Point locations: Jewel-Osco (1276 N. Main St.), and Strack & Van Til stores (10851 Broadway and 200 W. Franciscan Drive).

All nonperishable food collected during the event will benefit the Center Township Trustee’s Food Pantry, which supports families living in Crown Point and Center Township.

Organizers say the pantry is seeing increased demand this year, and donations of canned goods, boxed meals, and household staples are especially needed.

Residents can drop off items at any of the participating grocery stores during collection hours.

Community members who cannot attend are encouraged to support the pantry directly through local food or monetary donations.

This annual effort has become a key part of Crown Point’s holiday tradition, helping ensure local families have meals through the winter season.
