Crawford County, IN – A routine traffic stop on State Road 66 in Crawford County Sunday evening led to the arrest of a local woman on multiple misdemeanor charges, including operating while intoxicated.

According to Indiana State Police at the Jasper Post, Trooper Nathan Teusch was patrolling State Road 66 in the Marengo area when he stopped a vehicle for an improper headlight. The driver was identified as Morgan R. Toothman, 37, of English, Indiana.

Police say that during the interaction, Trooper Teusch allegedly observed indicators of criminal activity and visible signs of impairment. A search of the vehicle was conducted, during which suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located, according to state police.

Toothman was taken to IU Health Hospital in Paoli for a chemical test before being transported to the Crawford County Jail. She is currently being held on bond, police said.

Indiana State Police reported that Toothman was arrested on the following charges:

  • Possession of Marijuana – Class B Misdemeanor
