Corpus Christi, Texas – Dangerous heat is holding steady across South Texas, with daily highs reaching between 91°F and 105°F through Monday and only slight chances of relief from scattered afternoon storms. Residents from the Coastal Plains to inland areas are urged to limit outdoor exposure during peak heat hours.

According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, daily highs will peak near 105°F in western counties, while coastal areas, including Corpus Christi and Port Aransas, will hover in the low 90s. Rain chances remain slim — between 5% and 30% depending on location and time of day — with the greatest potential for isolated storms in the afternoon across the Coastal Plains.

Humidity levels and persistent heat are contributing to elevated heat index values, making it feel even hotter. The risk of heat-related illness remains high, particularly for those without air conditioning or working outdoors. Officials urge residents to stay hydrated, avoid strenuous activity during peak daylight hours, and check on elderly neighbors and pets.

This stretch of extreme heat is expected to continue through early next week, with no major cooldown in sight. Additional heat advisories may be issued if conditions worsen.
