Corpus Christi, TX – Another warm day is ahead for South Texas, with temperatures climbing into the upper 70s along the coast and into the low 90s farther inland, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Corpus Christi. Conditions today will remain partly to mostly cloudy with a light southeast breeze that increases to 10–15 mph by the afternoon.

According to NWS forecasters, temperatures across the Coastal Bend will vary widely, from mid-70s near Port Aransas to around 91 degrees in Laredo, Alice, Freer, and Tilden. Humidity will remain elevated, and no significant rain is expected today.

Rain chances, however, will begin to ramp up on Wednesday and continue through Sunday as a boundary approaches the region. Wednesday brings a 20% to 40% chance of showers and storms around the Victoria Crossroads, with highs between 82 and 92 degrees.

Rain chances increase further Thursday and Friday, especially across the eastern Coastal Bend, where probabilities rise to 30–60%. Highs will ease slightly into the low to mid-80s. Lows each night will remain mild, generally between 66 and 73 degrees.

Saturday carries a 20–40% chance of showers, with temperatures holding near 78–84 degrees. Sunday will bring a final round of scattered activity, with rain chances near 35% along the eastern counties before the boundary slowly lifts away.

Beach conditions today are favorable with a low rip current risk and water temperatures in the upper 60s to mid-70s. A moderate UV index is expected along the coast.

Residents across South Texas should prepare for a warm midweek stretch before showers become more likely later this week and into the weekend.
