Corpus Christi, TX – A weak cold front will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms to the Coastal Bend this afternoon and evening before warmer, drier weather returns early next week, according to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi.

Forecasters say storms will develop near the coast late Saturday, with a few moving inland through the evening. Highs will reach the low to mid-80s ahead of the front before cooler, drier air settles in overnight. Lows will fall into the 50s inland and low 60s near the coast.

Sunday will be dry and pleasant, featuring sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s to near 80°F, while Sunday night into Monday morning will bring the coolest readings of the week—down to the 40s inland and 50s near the coast.

By Monday and Tuesday, a warming trend begins, with highs climbing back into the mid-80s. By Wednesday and Thursday, temperatures will surge into the upper 80s to low 90s, marking a return to summerlike warmth under continued dry skies.

The Weather Service says no additional rainfall is expected after tonight’s front, and beach conditions will remain mostly calm through the week.
