Corpus Christi, TX – South Texas will stay mostly hot and dry through the weekend, though a few isolated showers and thunderstorms could develop Friday, mainly across the Victoria Crossroads region.

According to the US National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, Friday brings about a 35% chance of showers and storms, followed by a return to dry, sunny conditions Saturday through Monday. Temperatures will remain above seasonal averages, with highs ranging from the upper 80s to upper 90s each day.

Another weak disturbance could bring a low 15% rain chance Tuesday, but forecasters say most of South Texas will stay hot and dry well into next week. Overnight lows are expected to stay warm, in the upper 60s to mid-70s.

Residents are urged to stay hydrated and use caution during outdoor activities, as afternoon heat indices could reach near or above 100°F this weekend.
