Corpus Christi, Texas – Dangerous heat will continue across South Texas through at least Wednesday, with highs topping 105°F in some spots and heat index values pushing even higher. Scattered showers and thunderstorms remain possible, particularly over the Victoria Crossroads on Saturday, as tropical moisture from disturbance 98L lingers over the southwestern Gulf.

According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, Saturday brings a 20–50% chance of rain, decreasing to near 10% Sunday and Monday before increasing again midweek, especially along the Coastal Plains. The return of daily seabreeze showers Tuesday and Wednesday could bring some brief relief from the heat, but triple-digit temperatures will dominate.

Residents should limit outdoor activity during peak afternoon heat, stay hydrated, and check on vulnerable neighbors. Heat-related illnesses remain a major risk, particularly for outdoor workers and those without reliable cooling.

The National Weather Service warns that heat advisories or excessive heat warnings may be issued if conditions worsen.
