Corpus Christi, TX – Daily rain chances are expected across the Coastal Bend through the workweek, with the best opportunity for showers and storms arriving midweek, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters said Monday that a cold front will move into South Texas Wednesday and Thursday before stalling, increasing the likelihood of rain across the region. The front will also help bring slightly cooler temperatures by the end of the week.

According to the National Weather Service, high temperatures will remain above normal during the first half of the week, with readings in the low 90s to as high as 102 degrees Tuesday and Wednesday. Lows will stay in the mid-70s.

By Thursday, rain chances increase to 55–65 percent, with highs expected between 86 and 93 degrees. The weekend outlook calls for slightly cooler conditions with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s and only isolated rain chances.

The most widespread rainfall is expected Wednesday and Thursday, with coastal and inland areas both likely to see storms. Conditions should trend drier and more comfortable as the front weakens moving into the weekend.

Residents are advised to stay alert for potential localized flooding in areas that receive heavier rainfall.
