Corpus Christi, Texas – A Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect through Monday evening as persistent onshore winds and high surf push water levels above normal along the Texas Gulf Coast. Minor flooding is possible in low-lying coastal areas, especially around high tide Monday afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, water could cover portions of coastal roads, parking areas, and beach access points through early Monday evening. Winds from the south and southeast will remain near 10 mph, keeping tides elevated and surf rough. Swimmers should avoid entering the water due to dangerous rip currents and elevated surf.

Scattered showers and a few early-morning thunderstorms may also develop before skies clear later Monday. Conditions will turn drier midweek, but heat and humidity return quickly with highs near 88°F by Tuesday and Wednesday.

Residents along the coast should secure outdoor items near the shoreline and monitor local advisories for updated high tide times and flood alerts.
