Corpus Christi, TX – A light rain pattern across South Texas will taper off by Friday afternoon before a cooler, drier weekend takes hold, according to the National Weather Service Corpus Christi.

Highs today will range from the mid-50s to near 60°F, with mostly cloudy skies gradually clearing by evening. Lows tonight are expected to fall into the mid-40s to mid-50s. While rain chances remain low, forecasters note that a low risk does not mean no risk, particularly for rip currents along the coast.

Rain-free weather is expected to dominate through the weekend, with highs climbing back into the upper 70s to low 80s on Sunday before a cold front moves in late Sunday night. Behind the front, temperatures will dip into the 60s Monday and rebound gradually through midweek, reaching the 70s again by Tuesday and Wednesday.

Boaters and beachgoers are urged to remain aware of surf conditions and possible rip currents through the evening. Sunshine and light winds are forecast to return early next week, marking the start of a mild and comfortable stretch for the region.
