Corpus Christi, TX – The National Weather Service Corpus Christi says South Texans will continue to experience above-normal temperatures through the rest of the workweek, with highs ranging from the mid-80s along the coast to the mid-90s inland. A cold front arriving this weekend is expected to bring rain chances and slightly cooler air across the region.
Forecasters note that temperatures will remain 10–15 degrees above average through Friday, with afternoon highs reaching 96°F in Alice, Freer, and Tilden, and near 90°F along the Coastal Bend. The front will move in late Friday night into Saturday, increasing rain and thunderstorm chances (40–70%), especially across the Coastal Plains.
Behind the front, highs will drop into the low 80s to near 90°F, bringing a more seasonable feel to the area by Sunday. Overnight lows will also cool into the mid-60s to low 70s.
Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activities during peak heat, and prepare for possible storms this weekend as the weather pattern shifts.
