Corpus Christi, TX – South Texans should prepare for another hot week with a growing chance of storms by midweek, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures are expected to remain near seasonal norms, ranging from the upper 80s to upper 90s, with heat indices reaching 100–105°F.
According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, rain chances are low today, but isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible across the Coastal Plains. By Wednesday, storm chances rise to 40% in some areas, with the best chances for rain expected Thursday and Friday.
Cities across the region, including Corpus Christi, Rockport, Victoria, and Beeville, will see highs between 88–98°F this week. Inland areas such as Laredo, Cotulla, and Alice may push closer to 97–98°F, with little overnight relief as lows only dip into the upper 60s and 70s.
Forecasters say the highest risk for storms will remain along the Coastal Plains, where scattered showers and lightning could impact travel and outdoor plans. Winds are expected to stay light and variable, keeping conditions muggy through the week.
Residents are urged to take precautions against heat stress, stay hydrated, and remain weather-aware, especially late in the week when storms become more likely.
