Corpus Christi, Texas – A chilly start to the week will gradually give way to warmer temperatures across South Texas, though another cold front is expected late Thursday into Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

High temperatures today will remain limited to the 40s, with most locations across the Coastal Bend struggling to warm despite sunshine. Overnight lows tonight are expected to fall into the mid-20s to lower 40s, as skies clear and winds remain light, allowing colder air to settle across the region.

Conditions begin to improve on Tuesday, as onshore winds return, helping temperatures rebound into the 50s. By Wednesday, highs are forecast to climb into the upper 50s to lower 60s, with continued warming expected Thursday, when daytime temperatures may reach the mid to upper 60s.

That warming trend will be short-lived. A cold front is forecast to move through late Thursday into Friday, bringing a 25 percent chance of light rain and a return to cooler air. Highs on Friday are expected to fall back into the low to mid-50s, with overnight lows dropping into the upper 20s to mid-30s.

Looking ahead to the weekend, cooler air is expected to linger, with highs generally in the 40s to mid-50s, keeping conditions below seasonal averages.

Residents are advised to dress in layers during the morning hours, monitor forecast updates later this week, and remain aware of changing conditions as the next cold front approaches.
