Corpus Christi, TX – A stretch of mild and sunny weather continues for South Texas, with temperatures hovering in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) Corpus Christi.

Forecasters report light variable winds and mostly clear skies today, making for pleasant conditions both inland and along the coast. Lows tonight will range from the mid-40s inland to the mid-50s near the coast, with clear skies and light northeasterly breezes keeping the region calm overnight.

The warming trend continues Friday and Saturday, with highs between 76 and 83 degrees and only a 15–30% chance of isolated showers by the weekend. Forecasters say a weak cold front is expected to approach early next week, possibly increasing rain chances by Monday or Tuesday.

Beach conditions remain favorable, with low rip current risk and water temperatures near the upper 60s. Winds will remain light, though slight surf increases are possible late Sunday ahead of the next front.

Residents can expect ideal travel conditions through Saturday, with no major weather disruptions. However, the NWS encourages keeping an eye on next week’s forecast as the front approaches.
