Corpus Christi, Texas – South Texas will bake under oppressive heat through the weekend, with highs ranging from the low 90s near the coast to as high as 106° inland. According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, the region will remain trapped between two high-pressure systems, allowing heat to build while limiting widespread rainfall.

The highest rain chances, up to 40%, will be Friday, mainly for areas east of I-37. The rest of the week will see only isolated seabreeze-driven showers, with rain probabilities dropping to 15% by Sunday. Overnight lows will stay muggy, ranging from the mid-70s along the coast to the low 80s farther inland, offering little relief from the daytime heat.

Heat-related illnesses can develop quickly in these conditions. Residents are urged to limit strenuous outdoor activity, drink plenty of water, and check on vulnerable neighbors and pets.

The heat pattern is expected to persist into early next week, with additional advisories possible if conditions worsen.
