Corpus Christi, TX – South Texas will see a mix of rain and rising temperatures heading into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Corpus Christi. Forecasters say rain chances increase across the Victoria Crossroads and Coastal Bend beginning Thursday, followed by a steady warming trend and sunnier skies by the weekend.
Temperatures today will reach the upper 60s to near 70 degrees, with scattered showers developing through the afternoon and continuing into Thursday night. The NWS places rain chances at around 60% Thursday and 45% Friday, mainly affecting areas north and inland, including Victoria, Beeville, and Goliad.
By Saturday, the weather pattern shifts toward clearing skies and warmer air. Highs are forecast to climb into the upper 60s and mid-70s, with partly cloudy conditions early giving way to mostly sunny skies by Sunday. Coastal and inland areas alike are expected to enjoy pleasant weather for the first weekend of December, with highs between 70 and 78 degrees and lows staying mild in the 40s and 50s.
The NWS notes that no significant severe weather is expected, though patchy rain and wet roads could briefly affect travel late Thursday and Friday. Boaters and beachgoers should continue to monitor local marine forecasts, as breezy onshore winds and moderate rip current risks remain possible along the Texas Gulf coast.
By early next week, temperatures are expected to remain warm and dry under continued sunshine.
