According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, daily rain chances between 15% and 55% are expected through Tuesday, especially during peak afternoon heating. Friday carries the highest chance of storms at 55%, with activity tapering to 15% by Tuesday. High temperatures will range from around 90° along the coast to 103° inland, with overnight lows hovering in the upper 70s to low 80s.

The hottest locations west of Corpus Christi—including Alice, Freer, and Cotulla—could see dangerous heat indices near 110°. Residents should limit outdoor activity during peak hours, stay hydrated, and check on vulnerable neighbors. Coastal showers may bring brief relief but could also lead to slick roads, especially along US-77 and SH-44.

With rain chances fluctuating and the heat holding steady, energy use is expected to surge. Locals are urged to conserve power during peak hours and keep cooling systems maintained.
