Corpus Christi, TX – A Coastal Flood Advisory and High Risk of Rip Currents remain in effect along the Gulf-facing beaches of the Middle Texas Coast through Sunday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi.

The advisory affects Aransas, Kleberg, Nueces, and Calhoun counties, where forecasters warn of up to one foot of beach inundation and hazardous swimming conditions, especially during periods of high tide.

According to the National Weather Service, beachgoers should expect erosion, minor flooding, and strong rip currents that could endanger swimmers and surfers. Coastal flooding is most likely during high tide cycles late Saturday into early Sunday.

Residents and visitors are urged to avoid swimming in the Gulf during the advisory period and to monitor local updates for changes in conditions. Drivers should also be cautious on coastal roads that may experience water over pavement near low-lying areas.

The National Weather Service continues to track conditions and advises beachgoers to follow posted warnings and avoid entering the water where red flags are displayed.
