Coos County, OR – The Coos County Sheriff’s Office released its October 2025 activity report this week, showing a busy month across patrol and jail operations.
According to the department, deputies responded to 203 calls for service throughout October, handling 18 traffic accidents, 7 assaults, 6 burglaries, 3 DUII cases, 14 thefts, and 9 warrant arrests. In total, 41 arrests were made to keep area streets safe.
In the jail division, officers booked 212 individuals and released 207 during the month. The facility maintained an average daily population of 49 inmates, with a peak count of 54. Due to overcrowding, the sheriff’s office reported that 79 individuals were released on emergency status to maintain safety and compliance.
Sheriff’s officials thanked residents for their vigilance, encouraging the community to report suspicious activity. “Your tips and support make all the difference,” the department said in a statement.
