Davenport, Iowa – Cooler air has settled into the Quad Cities region, bringing clear skies, light winds, and nighttime lows dipping into the mid-40s through at least Tuesday morning.
According to the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities, overnight lows will range from 45–50°F through midweek, with daytime highs gradually climbing from the upper 60s on Monday to the low 70s by Wednesday. The region can expect sunny skies, low humidity, and calm winds — a welcome stretch of late summer comfort before a slow warming trend moves in.
Cities including Moline, Bettendorf, Rock Island, and Davenport will all experience sharp temperature swings between chilly mornings and mild afternoons. While no hazardous weather is expected, residents should plan for cool starts to the day and consider light jackets for early commutes or school drop-offs.
This stretch of pleasant weather may not last. Warmer, more seasonable air is expected to return by Thursday or Friday, pushing highs closer to 80°F across the region. No precipitation is currently in the forecast.
More updates are expected midweek as the warming trend develops.
