Gaylord, MI – Northern Michigan will see a mix of mild temperatures, scattered showers, and brief sunshine this week, according to the National Weather Service in Gaylord.

Forecasters say showers will linger through Wednesday morning, followed by a short-lived stretch of sunshine and warmer temperatures midweek, before another round of rain arrives Friday.

Monday night will stay mostly cloudy with a few early showers and lows between 39–49°F. On Tuesday, expect partly sunny skies with overnight showers possible in the northwest Lower Peninsula. Temperatures will reach 53–67°F.

By Wednesday, skies will turn mostly sunny with highs near 54–61°F, while Thursday brings partly sunny conditions and overnight rain chances. Friday looks mostly cloudy, with showers likely and highs climbing into the upper 60s.

Meteorologists say the overall pattern points to a mild, unsettled week — ideal for fall foliage viewing early but turning damp toward the weekend.
