Lake Charles, LA – Fall is in full swing across Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas, as residents prepare for a crisp, cool evening with temperatures dipping into the upper 40s and 50s, according to the National Weather Service in Lake Charles.

Forecasters say clear skies and calm winds will allow for widespread cooling overnight, especially inland. Cities such as Alexandria, Oakdale, Leesville, and Singer could see lows in the upper 40s, while Lake Charles and Lafayette are expected to fall into the lower 50s. Coastal areas like Cameron and Morgan City will stay warmer, with readings near 60°F.

The NWS says the region can expect ideal fall weather conditions, with no rain or strong winds anticipated. The crisp temperatures mark one of the first significant cool-downs of the season for much of the Gulf Coast.

Residents are encouraged to enjoy the comfortable night—perhaps with a warm drink, a book, or an evening walk under clear skies.
