INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will move out of Indiana by mid-evening Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis. Skies are expected to clear overnight, ushering in several days of dry and cooler weather across the state.

By Wednesday, conditions will turn sunny and breezy, with high temperatures ranging from the mid-60s to lower 70s. Lows will drop into the mid-30s to mid-40s, marking one of the coolest stretches of the fall season so far.

Thursday through Saturday will stay clear and dry, forecasters said, with daytime highs between 63°F and 75°F and nighttime lows dipping into the low 40s. The Weather Service expects these dry conditions to persist into next week as temperatures gradually warm back up.

Residents are advised to prepare for chilly mornings, especially in rural and northern areas where temperatures could near the freezing mark midweek. Despite the cooler air, the return of sunshine will make for comfortable afternoons and pleasant outdoor conditions heading into the weekend.
